One of the few down sides to living in East GD Rapids (that's literally how the road signs refer to our town and makes friends giggle) is all the big, mature, LEAFY trees. It has been a physical nightmare for me and has given Megan a lot of outdoor time to play and explore while her dad does manual labor.
After a recent rainstorm I was outside straightening up, and our youngster decided this was the perfect time to begin her adolescent career of puddle jumping. She had an absolute blast. To be honest, she didn't jump, but rather just ran back and forth through the puddle. Her clothes were a mess, but the smile on her face was priceless. I love that she's such a tomboy right now (more on that topic to come). So embrace your inner Megan of youthfulness today and jump through those metaphorical puddles of your own.

Reminds me of how much fun Megan had with the mini geysers at the Missouri Botanical Children's Garden. Maybe she was trying to recreate that memory...
