The Angels

Yesterday I mentioned how many trees were in and around her house. Here is a great shot of just how many leaves are in our backyard. One recent afternoon I was in the backyard putzing around with things and Megan wanted to be with me. She LOVES being outside. Anyway, I told her to go over and hug the Angel. She squatted down and tried but she couldn't reach low enough to hug her. I thought it was hysterical.

But it amazes me how much her vocabulary is increasing. She may only have about 8-10 words that she can say audibly, but when we ask her to do things, there's rarely a time when she isn't sure what we are referring to. She picks up her toys and dirty clothes and puts them away when asked. If we say it's bath time she goes running for the stairs. And she definitely understands when we say it's dinner time.

I think the only thing she has conveniently not understood is our adamant requests to go ahead and sleep in a little later. Somehow there's something getting lost in the translation. Maybe the language program over at Google has English to Toddler translations.
