Super Bowl Megan

Lest any of you wonder if Megan was able to watch the Super Bowl, worry no longer. The late start time did affect how much she viewed, but she was able to soak in a full quarter and a half worth of big game pageantry.

The truth is I don't think she saw a lick of the game, but hopefully in the future that will change. She had too many hands with her Nana and Grandma also hanging around to really pay full attention to the football game. You can rest assured I will change that next year.

But she did get some quality time with the mini-football. As you can see from the following picture she already has the proper football technique down. Fingers across the laces. She's ready to hit the X receiver on a go route, the Z receiver on an out pattern, or if need be, check down to the RB in the flat. I'm worried about her not keeping her eyes downfield though. If she keeps staring at the ball instead of her receivers, she's going to get sacked. C'mon Megan!
The second picture though is probably not something you want to see your starting QB doing. Chances are you're team isn't going to pull out a victory when your QB treats the ball like it's a chocolate bar. But as you can see, she still keeps a good grip on the laces. That's my girl.

Too funny! I hope you spend some of your "leisure" time reworking a few of your blog entries to submit as free-lance work (e.g., the caddy analogy for a golfing mag).

Hope to add to Megan's holding time one day soon. Love to all from the snow covered southern Midwest.

At least you didn't make her wear a cheerleader outfit. I appreciate you trying to buck gender stereotypes...even if she is in pink jammies.

Also- Meijer. How I miss that.
