However, there is definitely a presence that is missed around the house when she is not around. So it was that she came back home before lunch and it was wonderful to hold her in our arms again. We took her over to Aquinas College to show her my new office and in true Megan fashion, she got her hands on everything she shouldn't have. The calculator was deemed an okay casualty to her pilfering and she left with that in hand.
We walked around the campus and had a nice lunch downtown at Olga's with the grandparents before heading over to watch the big Hope v. Calvin soccer game. The winner won the MIAA so a lot was riding on it. Megan however was more entertained with the sticks, rocks, trash laying all around the stadium and she decided to pick at those things instead. Whatever, at least she was kept busy. At the half she enjoyed some popcorn and only started to get whiny near the end of the game.
The best part of the day was later in the evening. It appears our little girl has finally gotten to a point where she loves to be naked ... well, just a diaper. If you ask my mom she will regale you with stories about my own childhood proclivities to be naked (I think even w/o a diaper). So personally I think it's just heredity ... but Jillian doesn't get it. I know I'm not the only baby to like running around sans clothes. But what we can't figure out is why babies like to be naked? Is it the air on their skin? Is it a sense of entrapment? Do they just hate the style of clothes they have on? Who knows. But anyway our daughter spent the better part of her time after dinner in nothing but a diaper. Whatever.
