Aunt Jacqui visits the 'hood

(Editor's note: Most of you have noticed I've fallen behind in postings this summer. I've been lax in posting b/c we've been crazy busy every weekend hosting friends and family and I just had no time. The good news is I've taken lots of pictures from those various weekends. So to give all their equal due, they'll all be posted but I have to go ALL the way back to the beginning. So today's entry occurred in mid-June. Think of this as seeing the Parsons' summer on DVR. All the good stuff without all the filler.)

This summer has been going at a frantic pace as literally every available weekend and most weekdays we've been doing home improvement projects with my in-laws. However, in mid-June we were able to slow that pace down for a considerable break when Jillian's sister, Jacqui came to visit after finishing up the school year in Fairfax, VA.

Jacqui has shared pictures and videos of Megan with some of her elementary students and some of them have become big fans of our precious Megan. So much so, that she even told us on that the reward for one of her students is to watch Megan videos on the Website. Jacqui said she's become the official "mascot" for the class. I think that's awesome.

But anyway this weekend was all about rest, relaxation, and with four ladies, shopping. Jacqui proved to be an excellent babysitter for our little "wee one" and allowed us to get out for some free time and to give her some bonding time with her niece, especially since Jillian was out of town for most of the week. By the end, Megan just adored her aunt. Of course she went to Carter's with her and helped choose outfits and fed her McDonald's cheeseburgers, so I'm not surprised. She even fell asleep in her arms on our boat ride! That's when you know Megan's accepted you, when she falls asleep on you.

But alas, the week quickly came to an end and Jacqui had to return back to her real world (thanks to Ed for allowing us to share her for the week). I don't think I could have survived the week with Jillian being gone without Jacqui's help. So thanks for a great week!
