You want Megan updates, I know. The thing is, me too. Jillian and I have been apart from her since Monday morning, so I have no idea how she's doing either. And in one of life's ironies, we left her behind with the grandparents so we could go, childless, to Disney World. Seems off somehow I know.
But Jillian had a work conference here this week so she wasn't really on 'vacation' no matter how much I push her to be. And since I don't have a job right now since we just moved I decided to latch on and take a free trip to rest, relax, and play golf.
Look, before you start feeling sorry for Megan just know that she's one ... there's not much in the Magic Kingdom for one year olds alright? And if you think I won't be schlepping the backpack filled with cheerios, fruit snacks, and water bottles in about five years you're crazy.
So I'm counting this trip as a reconaissance mission to figure out what's up with this place. And I've figured out Disney World in two words: BIG and EXPENSIVE. Megan better get a paper route if she wants to come here. It's like a chic nightclub for kids. Instead of over-priced cosmopolitans it's plush dolls and knick-knacks. Ugh.
So I'll be home Saturday morning to shower kisses on my little girl. But until then I'm going to enjoy the silence.

Poor little Meg, just take her to Florida! You're a mean father. I'm just kidding, of course. I was one when I had my first Disney trip, and I don't remember any of it. I had one each year until I was about eight, and I don't remember until my fifth year..and all I remember was that I made my dad carry me around the whole park, and buy me everything in sight. So yes, you're right, a one year old trip to Disney is a waste.
I know you are all very busy, and I have tried to be patient, but... Will it help to get new pictures if I start complaining?
Looking forward to seeing all of you in person soon. Yet could still use more than the tiny phone pix to satisfy my need for more data :-)
