Megan finally had the opportunity to hang out for awhile with Sara Lyn Lunn. Eventually her lazy father will post a story about it over at his blog, but until then I can spin the events any direction I want.
I can report to those who haven't seen her that she is so adorable. There is just such a presence about her. She was shy to me at first, but after climbing all over her dad, once she saw me pulling out her toys, she quickly warmed up to me. So much so we got some great shots together.
Megan REALLY enjoyed playing with Sara's big girl toys too, so much so, that we have already figured out her Christmas gift from us. Since she can't read yet, I can spill the beans. It's this cool table by LeapFrog (of course) that helps her stay standing up on her own and bang on buttons. Actually, it was rather comical to watch, but her milk belly is so big that when she bent over it, her belly would even hit buttons. It's awesome. Sara uses it as a 'walker' too, pushing it around the floor as she baby steps her way around. So thanks for the gift idea Dave and Stacy.
After awhile, Megan was definitely NOT happy with having to compete with our attention from another baby so she became a little more vocal. So we decided it was time for lunch and we all gathered around the table for lunch. Megan hopefully learned from Sara that Cheerios go IN your mouth and not on the floor for the dog to eat. (Espen I should mention is not complaining about the current arrangement)
It was an awesome afternoon being able to hang out with the Lunn family. I never did ask them how she's 'adapted' to her new family, and afterwards, I think it's because it just seemed normal. For parents who were worried about how they would handle a baby that was coming after 9 months, I think they are doing phenomenally. The family seemed to fit perfectly together.

Your daughter cute, and so is her little friend.
I love my "God Studentee" baby.
I want to play with the baaaabieeeeeees!!
Come visit soon?!
IMHO, Megan changes so much with each entry, yet she still maintains a resemblance to both you and Jillian.
In the top picture, face-on, Megan is clearly Jillian's child. In the second picture, from a side view, Megan is clearly Brian's child. It fascinates me to see it so vividly.
And, admit it Brian, you had to have enjoyed her being just a little jealous of your attention to Sara; right?
You have me tearing up over "the family just seemed to fit perfectly." We loved getting the girls together. Oh how life has changed.
The Finn-Megan playdate is coming soon. Redheads unite. Sorry, Mom and Dad Parsons, but you're gonna have to drop Sweet Meg off with the Speeds and go find your own kind elsewhere - no Brunettes Allowed!
